Day 1: Welcome to Transylvania!

  • Arrival and transfer to accommodation in Viscri.
  • Here you’ll experience accommodation in a traditional Saxon style house.

Day 2: Let's start the adventure

  • Taking a delicious breakfast at the house and exploring the Viscri Village
  • Exploring the Fortified Churches
  • Lunch and optional activity

Day 3: Transfagarasan or Transalpina?

  • Exploring the Transfagarasan road, the best road in the world. Or you can choose to explore the Transalpina road in the Carpathian Mountains.

Day 4: Traditional Villages & Local Communities

  • Visiting the Biertan & Mălăncrav traditional villages.
  • You’ll have the epic chance to enjoy the Horse-drawn cart ride experience.
  • Picnic lunch enjoying traditional local cuisine such as polenta with cheese.

Day 5: Bike your way to explore Transylvania

  • Relax around the village and visit the Brick Factory.
  • Tour bike around the village and through the marked trails in the woods (we’ll adjust the difficulty regarding the group level).
  • Connect with the locals and visit the village blacksmith.

How should I dress?

Dress casually—and for the weather!  Be prepared for sunny and warm days during the summer.  You can’t go wrong with “layering” in the late fall, winter, and early spring. Some backup rain gear is advisable for November through March.

You’ll pay an amount in advance and the rest of the amount you’ll pay a few weeks before your arrival.

What is included in my trip?

What if I get ill or injured on the trip and unable to continue?

Our trip leaders are trained to deal with medical emergencies during the trip. They will provide every possible help and will try to pull you out of the situation as quickly as possible. If you are compelled to drop out of the journey due to illness or injury, our consultants will inform someone from your home about your condition and will arrange your medical care and onward journey. It’s very important for you to have travel insurance concluded with leaving your country of residence.
